Bolton at Home |
| Project Overview |
I was commissioned to work with community groups and the local Starting Point school to create artworks that raised awareness and benifits of new immigrants onto the estate. |
| Project Details |
I delivered 3 textile based workshops at the UCAN community centre along with working with 3 year groups at the Starting Point school that filters new immigrants into the schooling system in Bolton. All particpants created parts of the artworks that were conceived and completed by the artist. |

Comunity of Dreams |
| |
This artwork symbolises the dreams and aspirations of new immigrants. It consists of tetrahedrals symbolising their part in helping to build a cohesive and supportive community. The parcels of paper each have a personal aspiration written inside as a 'gift' to their new community. |

Oldhams Mapped |
| |
This textile wall hanging represents the geography of the Oldhams estate which I felt was important to represent as the destination of the new immigrants. The labels symbolise the local residents who live on the estate. |
