| Project Overview |
I was commissioned to work with a group of young people at Manchester Settlement - a charity that works with young people excluded from school. |
| Project Details |
Inspired by The Northern Lights trilogy by Phillip Pullman and the film The Golden Compass, we looked at the way characters had a personal Daemon that expressed their real emotions and characters. We used this as a starting point to create individual sculptures that expressed personal characteristics. The arts workshops supported work done in their English classes. |

Wire mesh, newspaper, clingfilm, masking tape, ModRoc, acrylic paint. |
| Installation |
The sculptures are on display within The New Roundhouse - Manchester Settlement's new building. |
| Legacy |
It is hoped the project enabled the young people to gain some insight into their own character & personality which may help them reflect on their behaviour. |
